Cherry Plum

"Cherry Plum" was first prepared as a flower essence by Dr. Edward Bach in 1935, as a remedy for the intense fear of losing control of one’s mind and, if I may,  couldn't we all do with a bit of that shit right now. This cute little release was dropped in 2018 by  ahiru あひる an electronic artist from The Netherlands who specializes in downtempo, chillwave beats and piano compositions. They are a member of the "nemuri winter" sleepy beat netlabel & collective. Drift away with these six stunning tracks. THE MOTEL

Future soul and lofi hiphop producer Goro Kumai recently uploaded two full length releases "THE MOTEL" and "Wandering Beats Vol.1" to bandcamp. Two fully realized 13 track albums of slick and soulful instrumentals. Full of sexy and sophisticated sample work reminiscent of Souls of Mischief era beat composition. The opening track "Fruit Drop" is by Disasterpeace, composer of the Hyper Light Drifter OST. Japanese chip artist scythe provides a glimmering JRPG feel with their track "夜は平等に" and UK breakcore legend / Amiga wizard Goreshit brings some high energy rave vibes to the table on his track "good?". Favourite Tracks "Nite Vis" and "good?". FFO: Every possible type...

Goddess of the Hollow

On April 14th, multi genre electronic producer City Girl dropped two full length releases in one day, "Sirens of the Formless" and "Goddess of the Hollow". While similar at a glance these releases differ wildly in execution and overall tone. Sirens of the Formless is laid back and sexy with percussive loops that do a perfect job of driving the songs forward without ever once overshadowing the melody work.  Goddess of the Hollow sees the return of long time collaborative partner tiffi, a singer/ songwriter from Sydney, Australia, who provides some very charming vocals on tracks 2, 3 and 7. These tracks, while fun and sparkly, are also dark...
